Senator Natasha Celebrates International Women’s Day, Calls For Greater Opportunities For Women

Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, who represents Kogi Central in the National Assembly, has celebrated women across the world, particularly Nigerian women, in commemoration of International Women’s Day.

The lawmaker shared the message through a post on her verified Instagram page, @natashaakpoti, where she highlighted the importance of empowering women and creating more opportunities for them in society.

In the post, Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan emphasised that when women are given opportunities to grow and succeed, the benefits extend beyond individuals and positively impact communities and the world at large. “Here’s to celebrating the women of our world, especially Nigeria, and to reminding us all that the more opportunities we give to our women, the greater the gains for our world,” she wrote.

She also extended her goodwill message to women as they mark the global celebration dedicated to recognising the achievements, resilience, and contributions of women in different sectors of society.

International Women’s Day is observed annually on March 8 to promote gender equality and encourage continued support for women’s advancement around the world.
