Nigerian socialite and businessman Cubana Chief Priest has sparked widespread reactions after sharing videos of a large crowd gathered outside his residence.
The clips, posted on his verified Instagram story, @cubana_chiefpriest, show hundreds of people filling the street in front of his home, creating a lively and charged atmosphere. In the footage, a man is seen addressing the crowd with a microphone while many attendees cheered and filmed the moment.
In his caption, Cubana Chief Priest strongly emphasised the power of grassroots politics, stating that the space in front of his house doubles as his polling unit. He noted that “politics is local", insisting that those physically present are the real voters who determine outcomes, not people speaking from a distance. He also dismissed opinions from Nigerians abroad, suggesting they lack real influence over what happens on the ground.
He went further to openly declare support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, also known as Asiwaju, expressing confidence in his leadership and urging him to keep pushing forward despite criticism.
The post has since triggered mixed reactions online, with supporters praising his stance and others questioning the message behind it.
