Nigerian celebrity chef and entrepreneur Hilda Baci has announced that she is now a three-time Guinness World Records holder, sharing the exciting update with fans on her official Instagram page, @hildabaci.
The announcement followed an official email from Guinness World Records, signed by Andrew Fanning, Head of Client Partnering for the Records Creative Team. In the email dated January 16, Guinness World Records explained that after reviewing record guidelines, it was discovered that Hilda Baci and her team had achieved more than one record during their historic attempt.
According to the message, when Hilda Baci and her collaborators successfully broke the record for the Largest Serving of Nigerian-Style Jollof Rice, they also met the requirements for the Largest Serving of Rice Overall. As a result, Guinness World Records proactively awarded her the additional record title, describing her as “officially amazing” once again.
Taking to Instagram, Hilda Baci said she was shocked and emotional after discovering the update while casually checking her emails. She revealed that five months after the initial record announcement, she was only just learning that the achievement came with an extra honour.
The celebrity chef explained that what she originally believed was one record had turned into two, and when combined with her earlier Guinness World Record, it officially makes her a three-time record holder.
Hilda Baci credited the achievement to her team’s dedication and unwavering support, giving special recognition to Ginonigeria and Oreoluwa Atinmo for standing with her from idea to execution.
She also expressed gratitude to Guinness World Records for the recognition and thanked supporters worldwide, describing the moment as overwhelming, humbling, and a powerful way to step into 2026.
