Veteran Nollywood actress Rita Edochie has issued a strong caution against hatred, side talks, and forming opinions about people based on rumours and assumptions.

The actress shared the message via her verified Instagram page, @ritaedochie, where she condemned hating someone who has caused no offence, describing such behaviour as “nothing but witchcraft”. According to her, unnecessary hatred is often not directed at a person but at the light, progress, or grace others see in them. Rita stressed that attacking individuals merely because of what was heard, without proper confirmation or personal evaluation, is a clear sign of immaturity, fear of truth, and lack of emotional balance. She added that judging people, especially their homes and personal lives, based on assumptions is wrong and damaging.

She further warned that the same innocent person being criticised or spoken against could be the one destined to open doors, uplift lives, and connect others with opportunities they never anticipated.

Advising her followers, the actress urged people not to allow jealousy, hatred, or gossip to destroy healthy relationships with individuals meant to play vital roles in their future and destiny.

Rita Edochie concluded by noting that jealousy closes doors, while understanding opens them, encouraging everyone to “choose wisely”.
