Nigerian Widow Uba Sandra Chisom Recalls Praying For Her Late Husband’s Safe Return After He Was Kidnapped
Widow Uba Sandra Chisom has shared a deeply emotional reflection on the tragic loss of her husband, recalling the period when she was still praying and hoping for his safe return after he was kidnapped in December 2022.
In a post shared on her Instagram page, @the_victorious_chisom, Chisom wrote that by this time in 2022, she was holding on to faith and hope that her husband would return home alive. She described her late husband as her “padi” and partner, noting that remembering that period continues to cause her deep pain.
She expressed disbelief over the reality that her husband now lies six feet beneath the ground, stating that it was never supposed to happen that way. In the emotional write-up, she pleaded for his return, writing, “Please come back. I know you don’t like videos or pictures; I won’t disturb you with it. Just come back, biko.”
In the same post, Chisom openly cursed the kidnappers responsible for her husband’s death. She wrote that they cut his life short “just like that” and declared that they would experience the worst pain for their actions, extending the curse to their generations.
Chisom also shared a personal memory of her husband’s love for music. She wrote that he was always playing Fr Mbaka songs and that she used to tease him about it. According to her, she asked him to come back and play his songs again, promising she would no longer “yab” him.
The post featured a video of her late husband. He was kidnapped in December 2022 and did not make it out alive, a loss that continues to shape her life years later.
