Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, has attended the State Christmas Carols Festival, where he called on residents to uphold unity, gratitude, and mutual respect as foundations for peace and development in the state.
The governor made this known in a post shared on his verified Instagram page, where he reflected on his participation at the annual Christmas Carols Festival.
According to Pastor Eno, the event provided an opportunity to remind the people of the importance of honouring leaders and elders, noting that Akwa Ibom State has been blessed with visionary leaders whose sacrifices and ideals continue to inspire growth and development.
He stressed the need for unity among citizens, urging them to choose unity over division, respect over insults, and love over bitterness. The governor noted that the spirit of togetherness remains key to unlocking the state’s full potential and accelerating development. He noted that it was uplifting to see people from across party lines gather to praise God in one accord, describing the atmosphere as a true reflection of the Akwa Ibom United spirit.
Pastor Eno reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to the ARISE Agenda, describing it as a clear roadmap for inclusive growth and sustainable development. He also reiterated his support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, as he addresses Nigeria’s socio-political, economic, and security challenges.
The governor further restated his support for the Senate President, Senator Godswill Akpabio, GCON, describing him as a son of Akwa Ibom State and emphasising the importance of collective backing for leadership at all levels.
Pastor Eno concluded by praying for love, oneness, and divine visitation upon Akwa Ibom State and Nigeria, while wishing residents a Merry Christmas and continued peace across the nation.
