Akwaibom Governor. Umo Eno Approves Land, House, And ₦100m Studio Fund For Visually Impaired Singer Chris Vic
Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, has announced a comprehensive empowerment package for visually impaired singer Chris Vic.
The governor made the announcement on his Instagram page, revealing that he has directed the Commissioner for Lands to allocate a plot of land in Uyo to Chris Vic, with the Certificate of Occupancy scheduled to be signed next week.
Governor Eno further disclosed that the state government will construct a four-bedroom flat for him and commit ₦100 million to help establish a fully equipped music studio. He explained that the studio fund is separate from the cost of the land and the building.
In addition, the governor stated that Chris Vic will receive a monthly allowance of ₦1 million for as long as he remains in office. He emphasised that the gesture is part of his administration’s commitment to supporting persons with disabilities and ensuring they are included in government welfare programmes.
Governor Eno noted that Chris Vic’s inspiring attitude, despite his inability to see, is a reminder that gratitude and praise are possible even in difficult circumstances. He encouraged the public to draw strength from his resilience and assured them that the government values and cares for people living with disabilities.
