FCT Minister Nyesom Wike has just fired a massive, heavy shot! The popular politician did not hold back when addressing the very serious claims that the Nigerian government is supporting the killing of Christians in the country. Guess who Wike was responding to? Claims linked to President Donald Trump! E shock you?
Wike, speaking with passion in a video shared by Channels TV, called the whole accusation a political game taken too far. He said the claims, which suggest a 'Christian genocide' is being backed by the Nigerian state, are completely false and make absolutely no sense to any right-thinking person.
According to the FCT Minister, the evidence against this scary claim is crystal clear and sitting right inside the nation's security architecture! This is where Wike went straight for the jugular, dropping names that instantly silence the critics. He challenged anyone believing the terrible narrative to look closely at the list of powerful people running the country’s security and top government offices.
For example, the Inspector General of Police (IGP) today is a Christian! The Director General of the Department of State Services (DSS) is a Christian! Wike didn’t stop there o! He added that the current Chief of Defence Staff is a Christian, and even the immediate past one was also a Christian. The powerful Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) is also one of us—a Christian!
"Tell me how any right thinking person will say that we sit in a government that will support the killings of our own people. That is why I said it is politics taken too far," Wike stated passionately. His core point? It is completely illogical and unreasonable to think a government where so many Christian top shots hold major power would actively support the brutal killing of their own faith group.
Wike is basically telling the world to look beyond the political noise and check the facts on the ground! The heat is definitely on the US for making such heavy, emotionally charged claims against the Nigerian state.
What do YOU think? Do you agree with Wike's powerful defense, or do the claims of genocide still worry you? Share your thoughts in the comments section below!
