Mercy Aigbe Pens Emotional Tribute As She Holds Service Of Songs For Her Late Mother



Nollywood actress Mercy Aigbe has shared a heartfelt tribute as she held the service of songs for her late mother, Madam Grace Abisola Owodunni, whose final burial is scheduled for November 29, 2025.

The actress posted the update on her Instagram page, expressing the weight of the moment as her family prepares to lay their matriarch to rest.

Aigbe described the day as heavy, noting that the emotions surrounding the ceremony were overwhelming. She added that the following day, when her mother would finally be laid to rest, would be even more difficult for the family. Despite the pain, she expressed her faith, saying she trusts God to give them the strength to get through the period.



In her touching message, the actress reflected on the service of songs, stating that her heart was full of memories, gratitude and love. She described her mother as a blessing, a quiet light and a gentle guide who lived a life marked by love and selflessness. Aigbe said that watching her mother interact with her grandchildren always reminded her of the depth of her love and the beauty of the life she lived.

She concluded by affirming that although her mother is gone, her light will continue to shine through her family, and they will forever carry her legacy in their hearts.
