The ongoing tension within the Nwoko family intensified on Friday after Laila Charani, the Moroccan wife of Nigerian politician and businessman Senator Ned Nwoko, publicly addressed widespread rumours surrounding her return to the household.
In a message shared through her verified Instagram page, @mnslailacharani, Laila firmly rejected claims suggesting she returned with an apology or was compelled to do so. According to her, the narrative being circulated online is false and misleading. She emphasised that her decision had nothing to do with remorse but was driven entirely by her desire to provide stability and peace for her children.
Laila also took time to clarify her financial independence, revealing that she owns four houses in Morocco and operates her own shop. She stressed that she did not return out of necessity or lack of options, urging the public to stop spreading inaccurate stories about her personal life.
Expressing her frustration over the persistent online drama, Laila appealed to social media users and bloggers to allow the family to move forward without unnecessary pressure, adding that she and her children are tired of the constant controversies.
