Comedian Aloma Isaac Junior, popularly known as Zicsaloma, has shared his strong opinion about men entering marriage without financial stability.
In a recent video posted on his Instagram page, he stated clearly that any man who does not have a stable source of income has no business getting married.
He explained that the message came to him after his mother called to wish him a happy birthday and asked when he planned to settle down. According to him, even though he is doing fine, he still does not feel fully ready for marriage because he wants to provide a comfortable life for his future wife and children.
Zicsaloma went on to narrate the story of a close friend who constantly begged him for money to feed. Surprisingly, the same friend later sent him a wedding invitation despite having no job or skill. When he asked if the man had secured any form of work, the friend insisted that “marriage brings blessings.”
Shortly after marriage, the friend’s wife became pregnant and eventually gave birth. Zicsaloma said he even paid the hospital delivery bill. However, the financial demands continued, as the man kept calling for help whenever his child fell sick. He eventually blocked him due to the constant pressure.
The comedian added that he encouraged the friend to learn a skill, suggesting video editing so he could work with him, but the man refused to show interest. He questioned why someone who does not want to be useful would choose to start a family.
Zicsaloma concluded by urging young men to learn a skill or secure a stable job before thinking of marriage, stressing that financial readiness is important to avoid unnecessary hardship for a wife and child.
