Tensions in the Nwoko household have escalated further as Nollywood actress Regina Daniels delivers a sharp and provocative response to her Moroccan co-wife Laila Charani, following Laila’s earlier allegations accusing Regina of introducing her to drugs and destabilising the family.
Laila had claimed that Regina exposed her to drugs six years ago—a situation she said nearly tore her marriage apart before Ned Nwoko allegedly stepped in. She also accused Regina of distributing drugs to nannies, staff, and even her younger sister, insisting that the actress urgently needed professional help.
Reacting through a detailed statement posted on her Instagram Story, @regina.daniels, Regina described the accusations as deeply painful, fabricated, and part of a coordinated attack. She dismissed claims that children should be kept away from her, calling it the most ridiculous and offensive thing she has ever heard.
Responding to Laila’s allegation that she “sleeps with every girl,” Regina hit back with a biting and now-viral question: “How is she so certain? Is she so certain because I slept with her too?” She added that same-gender encounters are not something she finds shameful but suggested that Laila’s confidence in making such claims raises serious concerns.
Regina also hinted that several long-standing issues in the family stem from the complex nature of polygamy. She implied that certain troubling incidents involving Laila’s son were known but that she has chosen not to expose them publicly. Despite her frustrations, she said her son’s love for his father prevents her from escalating matters further.
She urged Ned Nwoko to focus on protecting their children, warning that they should never be used as tools to manipulate or weaken her. Regina stressed that the emotional wellbeing of the children must remain a priority amid the ongoing turmoil.
Both Laila’s accusations and Regina’s fiery rebuttal have sparked intense reactions across social media, with Nigerians closely monitoring the deepening conflict between the two wives.
