Human rights activist Harrison Gwamnishu has visited Eruku in Kwara State to meet the elderly woman seen in the viral video of the recent CAC church attack that has continued to stir national concern.
The visit was revealed in a video posted on his verified Instagram page, @harrison_gwamnishu, where the activist was seen sitting beside the woman, offering comfort as she recounted her painful experience. She appeared visibly shaken and distressed, still struggling with the emotional and physical impact of the incident. Gwamnishu also provided immediate support to assist with her medical care.
According to the activist, kidnappers linked to the attack have already reached out to the community with ransom demands, leaving families in fear and confusion as they try to make sense of the tragedy. He described the situation as heartbreaking and urged authorities not to ignore the suffering of residents.
Gwamnishu called on both the Federal and State Governments to intervene urgently, stressing that escalating violence across communities must be addressed with seriousness and compassion. He warned that failing to act promptly could worsen the crisis for the victims and their families.
He further disclosed that the Safe City Volunteer Foundation will remain in Eruku to support affected families and work closely with those standing at the frontline of the unfolding situation.
