Nigerian widow and activist Uba Sandra Chisom has appealed for an end to insecurity in the country as she continues to mourn her husband, who was kidnapped and killed almost three years ago. She shared her emotions in a recent post, expressing how the pain of his death still affects her deeply.
In a message posted via her Instagram page @the_victorious_chisom, she said losing her husband shattered her family and left her struggling to move forward. She explained that many other Nigerians are also suffering due to increasing cases of kidnapping and killings across the country. “It’s almost three years now, yet the pain still feels fresh,” she wrote. “Too many homes have been shattered. I pray I survive this pain because sometimes, I honestly can’t do this alone.”
Her post has drawn sympathy from the public and renewed calls for government action to improve security. Chisom, who is also a voice for widows and victims of violence, said she will continue to use her platform to seek justice and speak out against insecurity affecting Nigerian families.
