Jasmine Okafor (@ladyjasminec), the daughter of veteran Nollywood actor Mr Ibu, has opened up on Instagram about a frightening health emergency that left her hospitalised after collapsing from exhaustion.

In her emotional post, Jasmine explained that she had been battling a cough and cold throughout the week but kept pushing herself to meet her daily activities. On Friday, while attending Tacha’s Guinness World Record attempt with her friend Chi Chi, she suddenly began gasping for air and was immediately rushed to Evercare Hospital in Lekki.

She revealed that her condition worsened at the event as she struggled to breathe and threw up before being admitted into the emergency ward. According to her, doctors ran several tests — including blood pressure, temperature, chest X-ray, and CT scan — which confirmed her condition was serious and required immediate rest.

Jasmine expressed heartfelt gratitude to her friend Chi Chi for staying by her side and acting quickly during the emergency. Reflecting on the incident, she urged her followers to take rest seriously, saying, “Don’t wait until it’s too late to listen to your body. Take that break. Don’t wait until you rest in peace.”

Her touching message has drawn several reactions from fans and well-wishers who prayed for her speedy recovery and praised her for using her experience to remind others about the importance of rest and self-care.
