The Bauchi State Police Command has confirmed the arrest of a 17-year-old boy identified as Auwalu Muhammad. And the crime? It’s simply unbelievable.

Auwalu is suspected of gruesomely attacking his own younger sister, Rukayya Muhammad, who is only 7 years old.

The horrific incident happened in Wailo town, Ganjuwa Local Government Area of the state.

Lured Into The Bush

According to police reports, this wicked brother lured his innocent sister into a nearby bush. The reason? To carry out a suspected money ritual.

Once in the bush, he allegedly attacked the little girl and forcefully plucked out both of her eyes. This is a story of evil that is hard to even type.

Rukayya was immediately rushed to the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital (ATBUTH) in Bauchi for urgent treatment.

Bauchi Police Command spokesperson, CSP Ahmed Mohammed Wakil, confirmed the suspect (Auwalu) was quickly arrested. But the investigation didn't stop there.

Police have also apprehended five other suspected members of a ritualist syndicate connected to this heinous act. They are all currently in custody.

The police confirmed that during interrogation, the suspects voluntarily confessed to the crime. This means their desperation for cash led them to use a young, innocent child in a manner that is truly unforgivable.

The case has now been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) for a diligent investigation to ensure justice is served for Rukayya.
