Adesua Opens Up About Near-Death Experience, Shares Powerful Testimony Of Gratitude And Faith

Nollywood actress Adesua Etomi-Wellington (@adesuaetomi) has touched many hearts on Instagram after opening up about a terrifying near-death experience that occurred in June this year. The actress shared a deeply emotional post reflecting on how God saved her life and renewed her faith.

According to Adesua, she went through a horrific incident while in the United Kingdom with her husband, Banky W, and their two sons, which led to an unplanned surgery. She revealed that the surgery was ironically the least dramatic part of her ordeal, saying, “If even one single detail of that day was different, I wouldn’t be here today.” She added that the experience changed her perspective and drew her closer to God, declaring, “There’s nothing anyone can tell me—God is real.”

Adesua shared that the experience transformed her outlook on life, making her more appreciative of every moment. She revealed that she now hugs her babies tighter, loves deeper, and values each new day as a miracle, describing her recent moments as “a miraculous day already experienced.”

She also used her testimony to encourage her followers to live each day with gratitude and awareness of life’s blessings. In her words, “Gratitude matters more than you know. Recounting all the good things God has done can shift your mindset.”

She ended her post with a message of compassion, saying, “Let’s be softer, kinder, forgiving, and loving. I will never take another day for granted—neither should you.”
